There is a multi-level garage complex with over 12,000 spaces. Additional parking is available in the airport economy parking, which offers free shuttles to the terminal 24 hours a day. There are also designated spots for individuals with limited mobility.

If the Fort Lauderdale or the surrounding area is the destination, there are many rental car companies available to choose from, located next Terminal 1 of the airport in the Rental Car Center, with access via a pedestrian bridge. Access to the airport can be made by taxi, minibus, shuttles, railway, and private vehicle. If arriving by personal vehicle, there is parking available on site, offering over 2,900 parking spaces, so booking in advance is not necessary. There are three car parks on site, offering options ranging from short- to long-term. All the car parks are on grassy fields, so it may be a bit muddy during the rainy months. The car parks are not manned, but are monitored by video cameras, so it is suggested that travelers take any valuables out of their vehicle or place them out of plain view.

Arrival by personal vehicle is also an option, as there are five different parking options to choose from on site, including express, long-term, and overflow long-term parking, allowing for plentiful parking on site. Accommodations for individuals with limited mobility are available in the Express parking lot.

If Brussels or the surrounding area is the destination, there are four car rental companies located at the airport, comprised of Avis, Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt. The minimum age for car rentals in Belguim is 23 years for certain classes of vehicles, with others requiring a minimum of 30 years of age for drivers to rent, with those under 25 years of age are required to pay a Young Drivers Surcharge. Drivers are also required to have held their license for at least one year prior to rental, with no serious traffic or driving problems on their record. Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement, but they too must abide by the requirements set forth by the car rental company.

If arriving by personal vehicle, there are two dedicated car parks; the central car park (P1) has 315 spaces dedicated for passenger use only, and the side car park (P2) shares 250 spaces with passengers, airport staff, and car rental companies. For passengers with limited mobility, there is a disabled drop off zone, which allows for car park personnel to transfer the vehicle to the dedicated limited mobility zone.

Traveling to the airport can be done a number of ways, including by taxi, shuttle, and one of three city bus routes that provide service to the facility. Additionally, private vehicles can be driven and parked in the on site parking garage. There are three different parking options, ranging from premium (1-2 minute walk to the terminal), to long-term (3-5 minute walk to the terminal), with the latter being the ideal location for travelers that will be away for 3 days or longer. Only the premium building offers covered parking though. Valet parking is available for specific Air New Zealand passengers.

If Christchurch or the surrounding area is the destination, there are several on site car hire companies located within the international arrivals hall, close to the domestic baggage reclaim area.
